pLEASE TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF:

Hello! My name is Ivan Bilousov. I am representing Ukraine at the cezve/ibrik world championship 2024. My dream is to encourage more people to cezve/ibrik brewing and introduce them to the tradition of coffee brewing. I work at IDEALIST COFFEE CO., a coffee roasting company for the past 5 years in Ukraine.

I value specialty coffee for the friendly community, constant learning and the opportunity to share my experience with people.

I came to the coffee community by chance as a student and working in a small coffee house. But after I saw the first national competition, my life changed. My dream came true and I ended up here to share my experience with you.

what are you excited to do while you are in Copenhagen?:

This is my first visit to Copenhagen. My plans are to make friends with the world coffee community, visit coffee houses, taste delicious coffee and, of course, participate in the competition to properly represent Ukraine

what are your interests outside of coffee?:

I love skiing, swimming and film photography. This is where I find my inspiration

First of all, I want to thank my coaches Tanya Tarykina, Iryna Basko, who trained with me 24/7 and supported me morally. You are the best.

I also want to thank the SCA Ukraine chapter and the coordinator Khrystyna Gavrish for the support, help and development of specialty coffee in Ukraine.

Also, a huge thank you to my team at IDEALIST COFFEE CO. This is the best team and my second family. I love them very much.
