Alireza Razzaghzadeh, Turkey

Niji Coffee Co.

pLEASE TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF:

I'm proud to be part of the Niji Coffee Co. in Turkey.

I've been competing in various coffee categories for over three years, including brewing, barista, and roasting.

Competition, for me, is more than just a stage to showcase skills; it's a crucible of self-improvement. The challenge of pushing boundaries and striving for excellence fuels my passion for competing. Every competition is an opportunity to learn, evolve, and emerge stronger than before.

My journey in coffee industry began as a waiter in a local café in Tehran, where I fell in love with the joy and connection coffee brings. This sparked my journey into the professional coffee world, where I've been dedicated ever since.

Fun facts : Despite Persian being my mother tongue, I enjoy joking with my friends in Turkish and English even if these are boring for them .

what are you excited to do while you are in Copenhagen?:

I've always been intrigued by Copenhagen! I'm excited to explore its history, immerse myself in its vibrant coffee and culinary culture, and soak in the city's unique atmosphere. Of course, if the competition stress allows, I'd love to thoroughly explore and make the most of my time in this captivating city.

what are your interests outside of coffee?:

I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, traveling, and wine tasting outside of coffee. Sometimes watching football is also refreshing.

is there anyone you’d like to thank?:

I would like to express my gratitude to my teammates Kevser Atmaca and Bagus Setiawan, the SCA Turkey team, and our valuable coordinator Aslı Yaman. I am thankful to Aktürk family, Toper Coffee Roasters , Kaffelogic and everyone who supported me .
